I worked as project lead on a group project using Android Studio (Java + XML) to build a small-scale moblie game. In this project, I worked on both frontend and backend development of the game. I developed the “Name Gussing Game” mechanics and the online leaderboard component, as well as serving as the head of UI/UX (Read the full game walk-through here)

- I created the “Name Guessing Game” component of the app, where a name is randomly generated by pulling from our class roaster, and asking the player to decide whether it is a real name or not.
- The online leaderboard feature is accomplished using Firebase database, where the app sends and retreive player data to and from a server-based online database.
- As the head of UI/UX, I designed and created all the pixel art game assets, and makes decisions for all user interface across the entire app.
About The Game
The game is called “EC327 Simulator,” “EC327” is the course number for our Introduction to Software Programming class, a memorable class for every CE major. In this game, we took inspiration from this class to showcase a simulated experience for taking this class.

Outcome
The app ranked #1 (out of 11) app in the class against 10 other group, receiving full score (100%) for final grade. During project showcase, our app received high praise from the professor and the classmates.
